Solved: Problems installing driver tridvid.sys for TM6000 Hybrid TV Receiver
Hi,
Has anyone heard of or experienced any problems installing the driver for the TM6000 Digital/Analog TV Receiver. It came with my nev@ada laptop and worked fine.

I installed a new HD and made some mistakes, now fixed, and had to re-install all my software so I had to rebuild my system from scratch. I have all the licenced software and installed everything. So far no problem.

I found that the TV receiver didn't work. I also found that the hardware was no longer installed so I figured that there was a glitch and had the computer do a hardware search to re-install the drivers from the original cd. The installation goes along fine until the last few percent and the installation of the "tridvid.sys" file. At this point I get the infamous "blue screen" and the computer re-boots. I get the abnormal termination screen where it asked to re-boot with the last know good configuration. If I boot normally I get back to this screen, if I boot from the last known good then no problems.

There must be some kind of conflict. But I have no idea what is the problem. Any ideas? I'm open to any reasonable suggestion.

Thanks....

Louie....
