Can you elaborate a bit more with what your problem is?

Do you mean USB enumeration?

Right Click the drive in My Computer/Windows Explorer and click Properties.

The box at the top is where the Volume ID (aka Disk Label) is displayed/changed.

You can also see the Volume label and the Volume Serial number in a Command Prompt, and change the label using the Label command.
Just do a DIR command on the drive, the first two lines will be:
Volume in drive H has no label.
Volume Serial Number is 70D1-A2CE
or
Volume in drive H is MUSIC
Volume Serial Number is 70D1-A2CE

The serial number is created when the partition is formated. Only way to change it with normal windows tools is to re-format.

A disk editor can find where it is stored on the drive and change it, and Sysinternals has a utility to do that. Check VolumeID at the bottom of this page:
Sysinternals File and Disk Utilities
