Really Strange issues (Hardware)
Since my mate, who happens to be a computer Guru of the house, with almost a decade can't figure out my issue, I hope you fellows can, we are about to chuck the system out the window...

I have been having very strange noise like static boom poping sounds/screeching, like rubbing two cookie sheets together, we replaced "Every Piece of hardware with my mates Parts" even went out and bought a new motherboard, "Asus" switched it from msi, replaced Every cord, even the HD, and still the poping sounds precide, with every inch of it changed, Restructured, We have the computer littery out of its case built up, sitting on a static paper.

*2gigs of Ram DDR
*AM2 Socket Motherboard Asus, M2v-mx SE "X" Series
*Duel core AMD Anthlon x2 4400+ Processor
*Creative soundcard Extreme Gamers XFI <now this is the interesting part, When I place this in my system, thats when I get the weird noise, I have exchanged the card 2 times, and my mate happens to have the same card and we even exchanged my card with his, same driver set etc, and yet the sound only happens on my pc, I Have my Cobra sound card installed right now and the issues stop, but I was hoping for a decent soundcard, and my mates pc is lower end then mine, and he has zero issues

Also My sata HD is giving me 9's Binary when I hook it up o.o

if you have any type of clue, Please before we chuck the dang thing out the local window, help

You've replaced everything, save the power pack and its noisy fan it sounds. Before chucking that though, I'd attack it with a can of compressed air and see what happens.

Nifty a furry responds, *waves at the fellow furry* didn't know there where furrys on here, In anycase, its not the fan, i have the pc broke down into parts now, sitting on a anti static paper, right next to me x.x it only happens with the xfi is in, right now I have the cobra in, and everything works fine, but I Find it odd that the xfi soundcard works perfectly in everyone elses system but mine.

Okay, so the card is not incompatible with any component since you changed everything, and the card itself is not defective since it runs on another computer fine. And the sounds come only when you have booted? Its from the speakers or the motherboard speakers? In case its the speakers - or headset incase you're using that, its possibly a driver problem. This a rather vague guess but woth checking out.... Try updating drivers if it helps.

All drivers have been updated, uninstalled and installed, Even the registry itself was cleared out,

Comes out from both the headsets and Computer speakers. I Checked the website, there is a known poping/crackling issue with this specific kind of soundcards. but I Just find it odd that I'm the only one in the house hold getting it, I managed to get the "HD" fixed. so minus that on my list of issues.

Asus boards have had some "issues" when the front audio is plugged in. Have you tried without the front audio?

Next are you installing just the driver or all of the stuff that comes on the creative CD?

Have you swapped the pw supply for a known working one?

Just a thought. Have you moved the system to another power outlet? One not on the same circuit as your current plug?

Yes, Moved the computer strictly out of the Master bedroom into the living room which we believe is on another circuit set, we have tried other outlets as well around the house both upstairs and downstairs, My mate says, He thinks the creative card just choose to hate me. I'm starting to believe it.... we littery riped the pc apart, replaced all my pieces with my mates pieces, the issue still accores.

Yes, as I said above the computer is littery broken down into pieces, not even in the "Case" right now, its sitting on a anti-static paper, nothing screwed in, all hardware pieces replaced by my mates, New mother board, hardware has been swamped, the issue is with the "Creative xfi" Sound card, its like a pop/crackling sound I get when I try to use it, I've exchanged it twice, switched motherboards, Used my "Mates" Same excate Card, which works perfectly in his computer, and I get the same issue, I try my card in his pc, and it works perfectly, the crackling only assists for me, no matter what I do, I think it just randomly choose me, and goes, I Don't like you, I'll crackle and pop only for you, I would take it back but its return date is overdue, (Over passed) I don't know if creative will give me a refund if I called them up and explained/sent it back to them.

Since you have swapped boards, did you do a clean install of windows along with chipset drivers, etc?

You know it has to be just the card. I had 3 of those and none of them would allow me to boot up a brand new Quad Core 6600 with 3 gb XMS Corsair ram, Raptor hard drives, Plextor dvd-rw etc and Vista Ultimate. I returned them all and bought another of the older Audigy S2 ZS which worked great on my other system and it runs fine. I think those Xfi cards are all defective.
