Installing XP on a new Vista PC
I would like to replace my 7-year-old XP PC (upgraded software is really slowing it down). However, practically all of my co-workers hate Vista -- buggy and slow, I'm sure you've heard all the complaints. I've done some research on software and hardware that are vital to my business and some are not compatible with Vista with no planned updates.

What I would like to do is buy a new PC and use my old XP disk to reformat and install (I have reformatted and reinstalled XP on my old one several times in the past). Is there a possibility that a new computer's hardware could be geared/specialized/accelerated only for Vista ? Do you see any forseeable problems I could have by installing XP?

I am with you on the vista thing.
Most computers that come from the factory you cannot install vista on. Some you can though.
The reason you cant, is that there is no xp drivers.

If your "old copy" of Vista is OEM and not full retail, then it is not transferrable either.

But as above, newer hardware often has no XP drivers now.
