Plugging Laptop to TV
I have a Nvidia GeForce 8400M GS on a Lenovo laptop. The laptop only has a VGA card and I have tried a VGA to RCB cable, but it does not work. Want to know if I have to get a converter or is there another solution?

Many Thanks.

stkchan, unless your laptop specs specifically say that it supports outputting TV video out of the VGA port, that adapter cable will not help you. You may not be satisfied with the results of a converter box if you expect to display any video resolutions beyond 640x480 pixels on a standard definition TV set.

Quite.......so the guy can read about general problems around connecting TV's to PC's so he has an overview, then he can check specifics with his laptop supplier.....im sure if the guy has an issue with that he can speak for himself

Thanks all for your help. Yes its helpful hints. I have checked the Nvidia website and it seems that the card is designed for TV use as well. But its a matter whether a cable can do it or I need a converter.
