Solved: Can I Upgrade?
Hey

I have been having problems running WoW lately even with all the video settings turned almost all the way down. I went tohttp://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest to see if I actually could run it properly. I passed the minimum requirements but failed the recommended. It said my only problem was my video card failed. I was wondering if my computer is able to be upgraded. I have an Intel Pentium 4 CPU and an Intel(R) 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family video card.

It sounds like you have a laptop. If so, the answer is no. You can't add a graphics card to a laptop that by default has integrated graphics. There isn't enough room.

If, however, you have a desktop, the answer is yes. If it is a desktop, what motherboard do you have?

Yes, please post your computer specs, or at least the model and type(DT/LT) of it. If it is desktop it can be upgraded, to a point. If not, you'll just know laptops aren't really gamers' machines, at least when costing under 1500$.

Since your motherboard has a PCI-E x16 slot, you should be able to upgrade. However, you need to see if it is open. Take the side of off your computer, and check to see if there is a space open that looks like the one marked 'x16' in this picture: http://www.viperlair.com/articles/ed...xpress_001.JPG

Good. Then you are perfectly capable of upgrading to a decent graphics card.
