Computer wont boot.
Please move this if this isn't the right section.

Well I was eating dinner and the breaker blew because someone turned on a few to many things, now when I start up my computer the monitor says "power saving mode" then the screen goes black and the light on the monitor turns orange, the computer is on and all looks normal, here's an old CrystalMark.TXT
as I can't get a new one.

OK, a power surge can take out computer parts like mb, ram, etc however let's try some troubleshooting first.

1 Disconnect power to ALL drives; both hd and optical.
2 Disconnect any usb type device; ie scanner, printer, hub, etc.
3 Pull out any add-in cards like sound, nic, etc. Leave in just the video card.
4 Clear cmos with the clear jumper. Read your manual to find the exact procedure for your board. Since it is an asus board, it might be labeled RTC [real time clock]

After your replace the cmos jumper, power ON the system and see if it will complete post [pw on self test] If you do get a display, then shutdown and reconnect devices one at a time until you find what is causing the problem. If it does not get a display, you will need to swap parts with known good units; ie pw supply, mb, ram, etc.

Oh, It's on 1 and 2 and I need to set it to 2 and 3, I was trying to switch it but it was not going, is there anything else I need to do or am I just not push the switch hard enough?

You do not push anything. Simply pull the jumper off and put it on the pins you want.
