The older mouse might have problems as not likely a vista driver for that but the MS notebook one should be OK as long as the driver is compliant to Vista

Yes, that what I thought. Thanks for your help. I will certainly upgrade my BIOS and if this will not fix the problem I will consider reinstaling windows (maybe going back to XP)

Hmmmmmm,

For last day I kept my touchpad on all the time. Oddly when touchpad is on fault doesn't occur.

All my Laptops I kept the touch pad On and never had a problem.....
