ok...should i say thx for the PSU lesson? what should i consider when buying a PSU to run 8800gts with full performance?

What you buy is also going to be somewhat dependent on your processor. What processor are you running?

Before anyone can recommend a pw supply, we need to know your specs. List your exact system specs ie cpu, number of hd, number of optical drives, number of case fans, etc, etc.

Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 @ 2.20GHz
POV 8600gt 512mb (8800gts later on)
2x Hard Drives
2x fans. 1 for MOBO and 1 - Dunno what that's for, it's just on the back of the case.

Anything else u need to know?

In my way on thinking right now this is a fantastic buy. 5 year limited warranty.

umm..does the PSU fit with all MOBOs?
just read the customer review on supply and it didn't fit his mobo?

It has a 20+4 connector so yes it should fit either a 20pin or a 24pin board. Whoever wrote the review does not understand how it works.

FWIW reviews on the egg are not to be taken all that seriously. Very often they are written by people who have little or no understanding of what they are attempting to do.

Lol, it doesn't fit his motherboard, but he rates his tech level "somewhat high"
