I just replaced the battery for my Toshiba satellite A105-S4114 laptop. The light is on indicating that it is charging; however, when I check the status of my battery on my computer it says NA. When I unplug the AC adapter to switch to battery power, my computer just turns off. It is a new battery. Any suggestions?

Is it a Toshiba battery or a generic one?

i bought a cheap one on ebay (from China), but it does say "toshiba battery pack" on it.

It may not be compatible.....was the reason you replaced it in the first place for the same reason or different reason?

Have you checked on the Toshia support for any new updates for that model?

i replaced the battery because the battery died (it could not hold a charge anymore). the seller claims it should be compatible. i did contact the battery seller but i was hoping to see if there was anything i could do while i wait for a reply. thanks for the tip about the updates, I will check.
