Solved: Sound software/hardware
I'm not really sure what category this would go in, but i'll post it here because it relates to the sound and speakers. So I accedentally uninstalled the sound software on my computer that lets me connect to my speakers. I don't have the disk... this software just came with my computer. Now I am unable to hear any audio from my speakers. and when i go to sound devices in "my computer" it says that there are no devices detected. now what can I do? do i have to purchase new speakers, or new software? please help!

You can download the drivers. Is your computer a brand name system? If so post the make and model. If its custom built post the make of the motherboard which you can use SIW to identify by looking at the Hardware -> Motherboard -> Model section: http://www.gtopala.com/siw-download.html

If this has just happened recently try System Restore to a date before you deleted it

Restore PC to an Earlier Date & Time

Go Start>>All Programs>>Accessories>>System Tools>>System Restore
  • Click in the radio button Restore My Computer to An Earlier Time
  • Click Next
  • Pick a Date in Dark Blue only (pick a date to before you installed All-In-One)
  • Click Next
  • Then Next again.
This should restore the PC to that time & date

It will update and restart

If that is not possible or doesn't work then we need to know what make amd model your PC is

im not sure if this is it, but it's the best description i can find (considering there is nothing on the actual computer. if you need something else, then tell me

AMD Athlon(tm) 64Processor
3200+
2.21GHz, 896MB of RAM
Physical Adress Extension

this is what it says under computer in system properties...
would you like the 'system' as well?

the pc itself says lg at the front, though im pretty sure that's for the cd-rom part of it.. otherwise it says nothing else

or am i completely off?
