Question DVD Drive has mind of its own!!
I have an Optiarc DVD-RW AD-7023A CDR, CDR-W, DVD-R (48x) drive that will play movies intermittently, sometimes it works fine (although it seems to be getting far and few between) but sometimes it just spins continuously and never loads. Any suggestions?

my system- Gateway GT5662 Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit AMD Phenom 3 gb RAM.. DVD drive came pre-installed..

There are a lot of DVD drive fixing threads that have been useful. Try searching the forum a little.
