Question Rebuilding a PC-No graphics
Hello all! First post & all that
Im using some older pc parts to build a pc for use in learning Linux but have come across an issue with no graphics or activity on the screen at all whilst trying to boot up for the first time.I have tried another monitor as well as another graphics card but to no avail. These parts are known to be working. I have also tried booting the mobo out of the case incase it was maybe shorting but that has not helped either.
The parts Im using are a Gigabyte GA81848PM mobo(previously installed as a fijitsu siemens setup)
P4 3.0GHZ Prescott chip
New 512mb pc2700 memory
Gainward G4TI4200 128MB graphics card

I've tried my best but run outta ideas! Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks
Brachunky

Perhaps the memory is not compatible?

Possible yes. Also make sure you have all the power chords properly seated in their places. If you don't have extra power for the CPU (one with an end like this http://mitxpc.com/web/Acc/P4-P412vcabls300.jpg) attached, CPU won't fire up, causing total lack of display.
