No Post No Beep
I had a problem weeks ago where my video card would stop responding. ATI Driver tool can recover from this error. A week later after the initial problem occured, my motherboard wont post anymore it wont sound a beep neither. I tried swapping PSUs but didnt help either.

My question is, wont the motherboard post without a video card or with a broken video card? I dont want to buy a video card when my motherboard could be the actual problem

Do you have a PC speaker plugged into the mainboard?

Resit your memory, wiggle them, use one at a time & rotate, change positions.

Resit your video card, AGP video cards especially are a *****, the pins can be very sensitive to the way they sit. try resitting, starting, wiggling, starting again etc.

Borrow a friends video card, sit it in, its going to be your cheapest solution to identify if its video or mainboard

i tried everything that you have said.

Wouldnt the motherboard POST with a faulty video card? I just need it to post so i can tell what the problem is. I have tried resitting everything still no post. I have the video card and a ram sitting on the motherboard with no post.

You are not going to see any post with a failed card. As a test, pull out your video card. Now pw ON the system. You should get a beep code that means no video. You can do the same thing with the ram. Pull out the ram and pw ON. You should get a different beep code.

If when you do this [and you have the case speaker connected] you get no beeps, I would bet on a failed board. This assumes you have swapped in a known working pw supply.

Have you unplugged all the other components. CD drive etc. Have seen a few instances where the CD Drive causes the computer to restart constantly and sometimes even not start. Then you can rule it out to the Motherboard, if so. Then you may need a replacement one

If you get no error beeps and you have swapped in a known good pw supply, I would say your board has died. You have disconnected all other devices; ie drives, case fans, add-in cards, etc correct?
