missing disk drive
freak out...

Watched a DVD yesterday on my laptop, everything fine
wanted to rip a CD today, so tried to install an old program, musicmatch 9, coz it rips better than WMP
program didnt work with vista, so i un-installed it
computer crashed halfway through uninstall and rebooted
I finished the uninstall when it had restarted

now my disk drive doesn't seem to exist... It's not in My Computer and I can't play CDs through WMP because the drive isn't there to play from
it still makes loading-type noises when I put the CD in, but nothing happens...

Anyone know what I should do?

Try following the instructions in this article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060/EN-US/
The same applies to Vista and the keys are located int he same spot.
