Question Solved: Audio Problems With Certain Apps.
Hello,
I have a Toshiba Satellite A300/M00 Vista Home Premium x64, the sound in Internet Explorer 7 and Mozzila Firefox 3 have suddenly stopped working. I have reinstalled both the explorers with no luck getting it to work. I have checked the audio services and ran the computer with just basic services running. All other programs seem to run such as login sound, default beep, Windows Media Player and games. Flash video files such as Youtube videos and other content that has audio in it does not work such as FLV player. I have reinstalled Flash Player 9 aswell. I have checked the sound settings and made sure my speakers are the default device which is true and updated the drivers which the latest ones were the preinstalled verison. I have exausted all options I can think of. As far as I can remember I have not made any changes to the audio settings. Im hoping someone has an idea I have not tryed.

Thanks Matt.

I have fixed the problem. I used gspot to detect what codecs are installed and found they have all mysteriously gone. I then installed K-Lite codec pack and restored them all plus more. If there is any reason why this may of happen please reply
