Question Help with memory and performance
I'm computer illiterate, I need to be COMPLETELY walked through this. All I know is I need more memory and RAM, also computer is VERY slow. I also have no computer protection programs or cleaners. I'm completely unprotected, because I don't know what programs I should use.

hello. lets start by getting your computer protected against viruses. you can go here

http://free.avg.com/download?prd=afe and download avg once you've downloaded it install it.
I'll need you to give me as much info about your computer as you can. what kind of computer is it, what is the model number, and what operating system is running on it.
usually the make and model are on the front of the computer and to tell what operating system you are running you need to click START then RIGHT click on "computer" or "my computer" then click "properties" it will tell you what Operating System you are running in the window that pops up..

after you have done this post back to let me know. thanks

for now, let's just get the basics i have a link to a cleaner that works well

http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ the download link is at the top left of the page

for the moment lets get these programs and get them running on your machine and don't forget to post that info, i'll need it to determine what kind of memory your computer requires.

thanks
