Angry Computer Freezing Randomly
Hello, this is my first forum post. I have a read a lot of other posts with similar problems but haven't discovered an answer, so I'm hoping this works. From the day I got my HP Pavilion dv6449us Notebook Computer it has randomly froze. By random, I mean I could go a few hours without it freezing up or a few days. Sometimes it happens while I'm using the laptop, and other times it happens while the computer is still on but the screen goes black to save energy (I'm not sure if this is sleeping or what).

My Computer Stats are:
HP Pavilion dv6449us Notebook Computer
Windows Vista 32-bit Home Premium
AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-56 1.80 Ghz Processor
2 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 Graphics card

My Hijack this report:

My first thought is since it's a problem from day 1 then you either have a bad Windows install or a bad piece of hardware. So my first thought would be to reinstall Windows, if that didn't help then you have to identify which piece of hardware is causing the problem.

Well, I've already sent it back to HP for a new hard drive install, then installed a cleaner lighter version of windows when I got it back. How would I go about figuring out which piece of hardware is bad?

try to run it without any torrents or other types of file sharing applications and make sure you have the latest drivers. Sounds card drivers are known to cause crashes or freeze up the computer.
