Monitor help
I got this SyncMaster 226BW 22"

The problem I am having is that its powering off after about an hour of playing certain games, like Sims2, or Civilization4, but just these games, none others. When it turns off it shows the "Digital" and "Analog", like its trying to search for a signal, then the power button flashes. Turning it off & on does not help, I have to turn my computer off by holding the power button which I am not a fan of at all.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

That implies the problem is not with the monitor but the computer. It may be overheating.

Download HW Monitor and report the temps at idle and after a good while playing those games: http://www.cpuid.com/hwmonitor.php

Also post the complete specs of your computer.

I was thinking more along the lines of 1/2 hour or an hour to see how the temps rise.

Well, it just happened again after about 30 minutes, sadly i was unable to capture a screenshot because my monitor acts like its not receiving a signal so it just goes black, i did notice the sound stopped and was like stuck on 'repeat', I guess that means that it is freezing the cpu's also? My cpus were running 120 degrees plus, all of them, and my Geforce was around 123 degrees.

Well those temps are bad, unless they soar right before the crash, I know that I have to manually increase the fan speed on my 8800GT using RivaTuner or the temp rises quite high.

What power supply do you have?

Yup, should do the job.

Have you tested the RAM using Memtest86+: http://www.memtest.org/
