Post PCI Video Card
Hi there, I am looking at new computers, and I am wondering, can you get a reasonably priced PCI video card that will play WoW, or even Oblivion?

I have heard that they are crap, so i am mainly implying WoW here.

Cheers

I hope you mean PCI-Express. What's your budget (in US dollars)?

Look, I have been told this on EVERY FORUM!
It is just normal PCI.

I am looking for something just to run the game, not to run it smoothly on high detail.

I am willing to pay up to $500, IF it does the job. If it doesn't do the job well, then probably up to $100. (U.S, because that has the biggest selection.)

lol me an gateway have been though this on another thread yes PCI not PCIe or AGP, its a smaller PC to use less space, i can honestly say ive been to the main computer store sites i use (Australian) ( http://itsky.com.au/catalog/categori...x?ParentID=128 http://itestate.com.au/pages/product...4BDC2FD906A868 http://msy.arpatubes.net/ ) and i cannot find a single PCI card i reckon you would be better with your integrated than spend money on a card that is very unlikely to increase performance by much at all

For $500, you could get a whole new computer..

But if you really want to keep going with the PCI card.. Here's a couple that might work.

1. 8400GS $50 USD http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814187041
2. Radeon 2400HD $55 USD http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814131082
