Post USB Modem connection problems!
I use a USB Modem [ TATA indicom Plug 2 Surf ] to connect to the web. I believe it is only available in India.

I can connect to the web without any problem but the speed seems to fluctuate from time to time. One moment its download speed is around 26.63 (approx) kbps and in the other it is 0.There is no problem in its signal it is always at its maximum.

The manufacturers said there ain't any problem in the modem but rather in my connection settings. I use chrome and IE so 2 browsers cannot act the same if there was problem with only IE. I have windows firewall completely turned off and nothing else installed like such.

I am providing the Modem details below:

SXC-1080

Device Name - SIT_1X_usbmodem
Device Type - modem
Server type - PPP
Transports - TCP/IP
Authentication - MD5 CHAP
Compression - (none)
PPP multilink framing - off

I will also like to say that I have run several Anti-virus application like Quick Heal and there is no worms or such like that. It was working well 2 months ago very fast but in the same location it is working with above described problems.
