Question 3 1/2 Floppy Drive Help
Hello,
On my computer i do not have a floppy disk drive, never had one either.
However, the 3 1/2 floppy disk drive (A can still be seen in My Computer.
1. Can i uninstall the 3 1/2 floppy disk drive safely?
2. How do i uninstall it?

What happens when you click on the A drive?

What model of PC is it?

Try disabling floppy support in the BIOS.

Custom PC, no model.
When i click A: , this is what comes up:

Please insert a disk into drive A:

How do i disable the floppy support in the BIOS?

All bios's are different to a degree, so you may have to look at all the bios screens and sub screens to see if your's has the ability to disable it.

What brand and Model motherboard is it? sometimes there are several revisions of the same model, it will be printed on the mobo itself.

looks like you can disable it on the "standard cmos features" page, see page 35-36

Set drive A to "none" save changes on exit of bios.
