My laptop turned on this morning, and now it won't turn off, but the fan and the green light to say it's on are working and green. Nothing will turn the computer on or off.

Once it runs out of battery and I plug it in, it should work fine, But that's going to be in like another 2 hours (it was at 100% battery last night). It might be because I didn't hold the power button long enough, but I doubt it. Any ideas on what might have happened?
(BTW my computer is a toshiba satellite, this is the 2nd day I've had it.)

Hi and welcome. Take the battery out, then try to turn it off. Hold the power button down for at least 10 seconds or so.
