Unhappy Many of my drivers are not working...
I am trying to fix my mom's laptop, first I installed windows xp, once that was done I tried to get her to hook up to the internet to get driver updates. One problem... The computer won't connect to the internet and I checked the drivers and it seems that the following drivers aren't working properly - Ethernet Controller, Fingerprint Sensor, HP Integrated Module, PCI Device, Video Controller, Video Controller (VGA Compatible), and four unknown drivers... I think if I can just connect to the internet I will be able to get driver updates. I just need to figure out how to connect...

Laptop Maker: HP
Type: Compaq 6710b
Version: XP

Thanks for your help!

and welcome to the Forum

Use the pc you are posting with now to go to the HP support site and download the drivers . . put them on a flash drive or burn to CD and install on the Laptop. Be sure to install the chipset driver first if it is offered, then the others in any order

HP will have instructions, but most you just double click the .exe file and it self extracts and installs
