CD drive dosen't know that CD is present
Of late when ever I put in a CD my computer dosen't realize that I have actually put a CD in. So when I go to My computer and click my DVD drive (H it says, "Please insert a disk..."

I using Windows vista Home Pre- on a Dell inspiron 530 desktop.

Unless the cable is shot, that sounds like the drive is. You can try going into Device Manager and deleting the device then reboot and let Windows put it back but that's really the only other choice.

Well When I turned it on this morning it worked but only when I had the CD inisde while I turned it on, but as soon As I eject it happens again.

Do I uninstall the device?

Ah well that suggests a software conflict and it could be anywhere. Did you install and hardware or software recently? I have seen some keyboard software cause that.

Nope I haven't installed any new software/hardware of late, however I did re-install Photoshop, but that was working fine before re-install.

What shall i do?

If it only works when you boot with cd in, then it is not the hardware but is in the OS. The only way I know to find it would be to make an image file with Ghost or Acronis so you can return and then start uninstalling newest additions.
