New HDD freezes BIOS screen
I recently bought 2 500 GB HDDs and for some reason I can get one of the 500 GB Hard Drives to work perfectly, but if I try to make both of them work, it freezes at the BIOS screen of my computer, it is really weird. Also, for some reason when I have both of them hooked up and if it does boot, the HDD will overheat horribly.

Specs:
2 500 GB HDD
512 MB DDR RAM
Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.80Ghz Processor
Windows XP Pro. SP3

IDE or SATA drives?

Does it happen if you have only the problematic drive in?

return the drive for an exchange. Sounds like a bad drive if you only have that drive in there.
