Installing USB ports
When I got my CPU a few years ago it came with usb ports, two in the back and two in the front. I've discovered there is no activation of the front ports. My question is how do i activate the front two usb ports?

We would need the make and model of your motherboard to be able to ell you where the Connectors for the front USB ports should be connected. It is possible there is no place to connect them that may be why they are not connected. If this is a name brand computer such as a dell, HP, Compaq, etc... post that as well.

Here is the link to the manual for your board.

http://download.intel.com/support/mo...LC_English.pdf

You have two USB headers shown on page 40 of the manual, Figure 13. The headers are J9F1 and J9H1. You can hook two front USB 2.0 connectors to each header.

If your case doesn't have a single plug for both front ports the USB 2.0 pinouts for those headers is in Table 9 on page 43.
