Data Recovery - JumpDrive not detected
Hi,
I have a Windows XP OS have talked to Lexar support, and it is definitely not being detected. This is the case on a few different computers I tried, one being the same one I used to put the files on it. USB 256 has files I need to recover. Is there any way I can do this myself. I read that opening the plastic part and cleaning it may help, but if that's not going to, I would rather find out who does data recovery and what it costs and if possible from a jumpdrive.

I didn't do anything specific to it, just had it in my purse and often without it's cover. I noticed some disconnects with one of the ports that was loose. Now on any port there is no detection at all.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions or replies to help.

Enjoy your day.

take a look at http://www.getdeletedfilesback.com . It recommends file recovery software. The free eval version will show you whether it detects your drive and if so what files it finds on it for data recovery.
