Unhappy Solved: Built in laptop speakers not working
My Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop speakers aren't speaking.
It might be a windows XP problem because I can't adjust the volume at all.
The buttons on my laptop that control volume don't respond either.
any tips or suggestions are appreciated.

Look under Sound in Device Manger and see if you have any warnings signs usually yellow

Open Device Manager

Press the Windows Logo key + Pause Break key together
another screen will open..
click on the Hardware tab
then Device Manager button

Here's a link to the Audio driver from Dell

Download to your desktop and then run it and restart your PC
