No Sound on Toshiba Satellite
I have a Toshiba Satellite P105 S6157 laptop running windows Vista Home Premium (I know Vista sucks, but oh well)

I have no sound now on the laptop. I made sure all the sound was NOT muted. I removed and reinstalled the sound driver and I still have no sound either on the internal laptop speakers or on external computer speakers hooked to the laptop.

In my search to try and resolve this problem I read something about an update from Microsoft for Vista that had caused others to loose sound on their computers. When I tried to find this again I could not locate what I had been reading.

The laptop is just over 2 years old and has beed running great till this happened

Device Manager is showing: Conexant High Definition SmartAudio HD2 as the item under Sound, video and game controller.

Any help on this problem would greatly be appreciated so I can get this unit back to the lady who is using it. Thanks.
