Drive has 2 Capacities
I have a Maxtor basics External USB hard drive and the capacity of it is :::: 500GB ::::

I have recently started to get error messages, something about "$Mft delayed write failed" on this drive and since then my drive now has 2 capacities:

Windows Explorer says the total size is --- " 465 GB " and
Computer Management says the total size is --- " 596 GB "
what?


what's happened to my drive and how do I get it back to normal?
do I need to re-format it or is there an easier way to fix this?

I have included a screen shot of both the explorer window & the computer management window where you can clearly see the 2 different drive sizes.
