Angry Solved: AC Adapter Problem
Hello,

I have a Dell Inspiron 1501. Recently my battery charge has gone really low, like my battery only lasts about 5-15 minutes on a full charge with the lowest light settings. So, I've been forced to keep my adapter (o?) plugged in. However, now, when I plug it in, the light on the adapter itself flickers once, then goes off. The battery doesn't charge or anything. Is this a problem for my adapter? And is there any alternative besides buying a new one, seeing as the DELL ones cost about $80?

It may not be the DC Adapter but the jack in the laptop. Its not uncommon for the jacks to breaks and the power adapter could be tripping as a result of a broken jack. Is the jack in the laptop loose?

Probably isn't that because the charger light flickers when everything is unplugged too.

Well in that case get a new charger, many stores carry universal that work on many laptops, just be sure your Dell is supported otherwise buy a Dell replacement one.
