Question Inspiron 530S XP no sound from speakers
I have an Inspiron 530S with XP, about a year old, and suddenly there is no sound coming from the speakers. I have checked the settings, and nothing is muted. I tried to download the realtek driver, but it didnt help. Sorry, Please let me know what other information you need, I'm technically challenged!

Have you some headphones you can plug in just to eliminate the speakers as the problem?

OK. Different means to the same end. The speakers are eliminated from the problem. That doesn't mean there's not something wrong with the connector, but ...

Double-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and check that all the settings are correct in the mixer, things are enabled, not muted, adequate volume levels, etc.
