Need help
If I leave my laptop on all night, will it hurt it?

Laptops are a bit different from desktops in that heat dissipation is not as good. They can overheat more easily over extended periods.

But if air flow is good (and especially if you have one of those laptop cooling pads that people use), then it should be no problem leaving it on if you need to have it doing something.

But leaving it running does cause wear on the drives, so it is not a good idea to do it all the time for no reason.
