Laptop charger is messed up

I leave my charger in my laptop, and sometime it just stops charging. It's still plugged in, but it just... stops. Then I have to take it out and put it back in again. What the hell is going on?

Sometimes the things burns like hell. That sounds like a problem.

Funny how you double posted. And no, fark isn't a swear word. The burning is something that happens as well, because sometimes it doesn't get hot and it still screws up on me.
