Solved: E-Machine m6805 Wireless Adapter.
Recently, I upgraded to Windows XP Professional on my M6805. After restarting it, I wasn't able to turn on the Wireless Adapter (Fn+F2). At first I thought it was a problem with my keyboard but the brightness functions and all the rest work, but not my wireless adapter. Anyway to fix this problem?

Thanks.

Is it built-in wireless, a wireless card or usb plug in card - you may simply need to re-install the correct drivers

What did you upgrade to XP Pro from? As CJS23 said, you probably need to reinstall driver for wireless card.

Can you tell us what the exact model is from label underneath laptop as cannot find M6805 on emachines web site.

Alternatively use Belarc to determine your motherboard from:-

Well, basically what I did was just reinstall the windows, because I had just found this laptop in the trash. Before reinstalling Windows, everything was working fine. I think it had Windows XP Home and I installed Windows XP Pro I believe its a built-in wireless card.

It says: Model M6805.
I tried looking for it on the website, but I can't find it either.

I'm honestly a pure computer klutz.

Use Belarc as I suggested in previous post and copy and paste the web page text it produces

URGENT:

Could you please edit your last Post to remove your Product Keys and other private info. It's just the top bit that's really needed. Down to roughly where it says "Communications Other Devices "

I'm sorry, it's my fault for not being specific
