Exclamation Took off spacebar.
I have a Dell Inspiron E1505 laptop, and today I started to take off some of the keys so that I could clean underneath them. I had no problem putting the alt, ctrl, and arrow keys back on, but the spacebar refuses to click back. I read an online manual (http://www.wikihow.com/Pop-a-Key-Bac...aptop-Keyboard) on how to put keys back on. There are a few pieces that they describe in the manual as "u and o shaped pieces" that are supposed to rise a bit from the surface of the keyboard. The one in the middle(there are three for the spacebar) is risen, but the two on the ends lie flat. I don't know how I'm supposed to put my spacebar back on with those two pieces lying flat. Help?

By the way, you can only imagine how fun it was to type this with a tiny button for a spacebar.

Have a good look at the underside of the spacebar and likewise look at those pieces lying flat. Get a pair of tweezers and or a fine screwdriver to lift the clips so you can get an idea of how they connect to the spacebar. Take your time to figure out how it all works and assuming you haven't damaged anything when removing you should be able to clip it back together quite successfully.
