identifying a motherboard
hi guys,

i have just been given an old computer(because the case is sweet!) i'm going to build into the case, but while i amount the cash, i would like to see what the computer has to offer already...not much as i can see but may be decnt for my kids to use for their kids games etc.

the problem i have is that nothing switches on! i think the problem is that
the motherboard is not connected to the switches corectly. i have tried looking to find what goes where but with no luck.

as i can't boot the mobo up, and use everest like i do on my other machines, is their a way to distinguish the board?

their is no obvious name on the board although all the componantes have AMP stamped on them, i think they make componants and not the board.

basically i need to find a map of the board after i identify it.

thanks for helpng (i hope)

Louie

p.s. sorry if i rambled a bit

Hi LouieTHFC and welcome to TSG... You might try taking a photo of the mobo and posting it. Perhaps someone will recognize it and provide some guidance from there.
