Question Boot from cd -problem
I'm trying to install a new OS on my system, but the problem is that when it gets to the boot device, with the dvd in the drive, it gets stuck at "Boot from ATAPI CD-ROM: _", an will go no further.

The drive works while the computer is booted up into it's current OS, I can access all data and the drive gives no errors.

the Boot device list is:
floppy
cd/dvd
hdd

No floppy in the drive, cd in, and hard drive in.
With no disc, it skips the step altogether and boots into the OS, but when there is a bootable CD in the drive, it stops.
The CD does boot in other computers.

tried changing processors, nothing new.
tried just the dvd drive as a boot device, still stops at "Boot from ATAPI CD-ROM"
tried changing the drive to master, slave, CS master, CS slave, still the same problem.

Any ideas to fix this problem?
