Unhappy Laptop PSU failure?
Lenovo Thinkpad T61
Windows XP Professional
(Manufacturer link) http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/si...cid=MIGR-67709

My brother dropped my laptop.

With AC cord and battery plugged in, I pressed the power button.
The Battery and AC lights flashed together slowly, repeatedly. The harddrive spun for a second, then quieted. Screen remained blank, nothing else happened. Lights continued flashing. (The battery light has both amber and green leds on, so it is effectively half-and-half. The AC light is green.)

Removed AC cord, kept battery in. Same result as above.

Removed battery, kept AC in. Absolutely nothing happened.

Removed battery AND AC cord. It worked!!! (Just kidding.)

As a side note, this is a brand new AC cord. I'm pretty sure that the problem is internal, not with the cord or the battery. But who knows.

Anyone know exactly what's broken?

Thanks.
