No graphics from graphics card.
Hi, I have been building a new computer with a bunch of old used parts.
The computer has a motherboard with NO GRAPHICS.
I have the pci slots filled with a network card (because the motherboard doesn't have ethernet either...), a RAID controller for IDE devices and has 2 IDE hard drives connected to it. And I have an AGP nvidia graphics card with 256 MB of video memory.

For some reason, Everytime I turn on the computer, the graphics card does not put out video, but I know it's working because I can feel the heatsink getting hot. Both ports, DVI and VGA don't seem to work.

I have no idea what to do from here... help me!!!

When you turn the computer on, do you get a single beep? Do you have memory on the motherboard? (You need at least 64K installed before the BIOS can work.)
If you have the memory installed, and you receive the single beep, but you don't get a signal on the video card, either the video card or the monitor is bad.

Do the keyboard LEDs flash shortly after power up? Normally they will blink on then off during the POST (Power On Self Test). If this doesn't even happen, the system is failing during POST. Perhaps the motherboard or CPU is defective.

Do the drives activate as if trying to boot? Usually, if you have a floppy drive, it will initialize, the CD light will blink on, then the HDD will attempt to boot.

It does sound like it could be the video card. You may also want to remove the NIC and RAID HBA to reduce everything to it's minimum.

I tried the raid controller, I'll have to try the network card.
I also have a motherboard that has the same socket and RAM type and also has integrated graphics. So if this isn't able to work, i could do that, but it would be nice if the first motherboard could work.
