Question SATA Secondary hard drive failure ONLY with restart
Help! I have an HP a1600n Desktop which I recently installed a second (larger 750 GB) SATA hard drive in to use as an additional storage/backup drive. Here is the problem: Whenever I restart my computer (or when it is automatically restarted after an update) the computer won't reboot but freezes up, then a blue screen flashes on the screen (too quickly to read), before rebooting the system. Unfortunately this continues indefinately in a never ending loop of boot failures. Fortunately when the PC is powered off completely and turned back on this problem solves itself. BIOS fails to see the drive on a simple restart, however it magically appears in BIOS again once the computer has been powered completely down and back on again. This drive seems to work flawlessly once windows boots up, I just can't figure out why it doesn't like to be restarted vs Powering completely off then back on.

AdvThanksance for any help that can be offered!

p.s. No issues prior to installing the new drive, which is the only change to the system. Both drives are Samsung, new drive model is SAMSUNG HD753LJ internal SATA.
