My PC Monitor Suddenly Malfunctions
When turning on my pc today, the screen suddenly went black. Things were fine, then all at once, it went black. There were slight clicking sounds as the lights keep blinking. I turned it off, unplugged the pc, checked all the wires and found them to be intact. I then turned the pc and monitor back on... and though the light is now green, the monitor's screen remains black and non-responsive. What can I do to get the monitor to work again?

Please, if someone has any advice, I could seriously use it. My PC is critical to my livelihood!

Is this a CRT or LCD monitor? Please provide the manufacturer and model number.

OK. It's a Fuji 17 inch LCD, model FP-768.

Thanks for the inquiry.

hi can you start in safe mode try F8 on boot keep tapping the key and choose safe mode with networking. you can then start some troubleshooting, look in device manager for any yellow ! or red Xs in the sound video and game controllers.safemode loads only the generic windows drivers so may allow you to get a visual on your monitor

Have you tried a different monitor? If you try a different monitor & get no display it could be your video card [if you have one].Power supply could be a issue also?

Hi, I'm having the same problem with monitor (getting no display) but I know what the problem is, just don't know how to fix it.....I accidentally disabled vgasave and now I can't see to enable it again. I tried calling dell and been on the phone for 3 hrs to no avail. I believe I have tried everything from all safe modes(won't boot), vga mode, last configuration to booting in different OS, taking the battery out, resetting bios, nothing. Please help....I have a dell 4600c, pentium 4, 2.66ghz, 512mb
