How do I Partition & Format new HDD, using USB Dock ?
Hi,
Ive got a new 1TB SATA HDD & a SATA HDD USB Dock.

I need to use these to make a MIRROR backup of my existing systems (IDA) HDD.

So... how do I Partition & Format this new HDD, using the USB Dock ?
Thanks

Do it from your operating system.

Do you mean via: Windows... Disk Management ?

If so...
Do I have to get my BIOS to recognise the drive first, or does WDM do that as well ?

Also:
I have a second drive that I want to fit as an internal 'Data' drive...

So if I Partitioned & Format this second drive, via the USB Doc, (using WDM)...
Can I then install it as an internal 'Data' drive ?

I'd install the drive as a second HDD and use WDM to format it.
for a Data drive, I think you would only want one partition.
You should be able to do the same using the Doc.

Using a quick format .. not too long
