DVD-ROM and Windows Media Player
Ok hi guys, I have a DVD burner, of which im not sure what it is, because when i go to try and see what the exact model is in msinfo32 it doesnt show up.

Anyway my question was, does anyone have an idea as to why i can read, and rip cd's but i cannot burn them? When i try to burn them by clicking the "burn" tab in WMP i get a logo at the top right hand side that says, please connect a burner then restart WMP.

Well im obviously connected or i wouldnt be able to rip or read cds. Secondly its on its own IDE channel so i have it set to master. I've also try setting it to cable select, and still no changes...

Anyone got any ideas for me?
