Unhappy laptop stupid mistake please help
last night i accidentally pluged my power cable into my busted usb port so contact was made on inside and out of plug, laptop switched off instantly and i could not reboot,

i removed the battery and retried now all i get is a blank white screen and no bootup
will i have to send it off?
or does any 1 have any suggestions, please help

chances are you've fried one or more circuits i'm afraid, only way to fix it is to replace the circuits, which could turn out more expensive than replacing the laptop, i would get a new laptop and try to recover any data from the old hard drive

damn thats what i was hoping you wouldnt say, thanks for ythe advice anyway, supose i better start laptop browsing,

any think its worth hooking a monitor up to it to see if its just the screen thats fried? causing white screen

It won't hurt to try, but it sounds like you fried your laptop's innards.

ive got it working,as good as... well used not new
thanks for the advice
in the end the thing i thought had least chance of working cured it, left it running on white screen for bout 20 mins and poof up pops login page woo

who knew. laptops fix themselves
