Have you tried restoring the System Image you said you made in post #9?

I'm unable to re-image the computer as I'm getting an internal error. The message goes like this:

"An internal error occurred. The following information might help you resolve the error:

The system cannot find the file specified. (0x80070002)"

In addition, I do not have ANY operating system to repair with.

Okay, I contacted a friend who lives in Scotland and he helped me get my OS partition back in one piece!

Basically, after I booted off of the Win7 install disc, I had two partitions available for install (an OEM and the 'Recovery' partition). I deleted the second partition then the first partition and tried forming a new partition out of that, which failed. So, I rebooted the computer and booted off the install disc again, and when I went to view the partitions, I had my OS partition back.

So, what must have happened is that after formatting, the OS partition must have gone up the order of partitions, even though the Recovery partition was already there, making the OS partition go AWOL. But now, I've got the OS partition back at least, and I'll more than likely be reinstalling Win7 over the weekend so that I can get everything in check.

Thanks for the help guys, much appreciated.
