Question Post startup Error (s)
Im fixing a old low-tech IMB for my little brother to play starcraft. I dont have much exp in this field but I really want to learn.


The computer is a IMB Pentium III the Error's im getting are

8603 Pointing device Error
164 memory size error

I have 5 sticks of memory pc 100's and they all work and I have a usb lazer mouse any help would be wonderful!

what operating system is the computer running and what size are the memory sticks?

8603 Pointing device Error = This maybe your mouse is not inserted correctly, Try
inserting your mouse again...or the mouse is not working
try another mouse.
164 memory size error= This is RAM error, try taking-off the RAM and insert again, if
doesn't work the RAM you are using is not compatible with the
mother board you are trying to insert. Look for another RAM
that is compatible with the motherboard.
