Laptop cable for 2nd HD?
I have an HP Pavilion laptop with a Samsung mp0402h HD, which seems to have died. I'm going to replace the drive, but I'm hoping to hook up the old drive as a 2nd to try to get old files off of it if possible. I've never done this with a laptop and I don't know how it'd work. Would it involve a cable, like a desktop, or would it be different?

Thanks,

Yes, it's IDE. Thanks a lot, I'll browse through those. Any recommendations on brands?

I would stear clear of Rosewill. I also wouldn't go for the cheapest of the lot. between 15 and 20 dollars would be good usually.
