Exclamation ATI Driver Problem
Everything went fine after the Windows XP Pro reformat and install but one thing I'm having trouble with is updating my graphics video driver. I'm using a ATI Radeon Mobility X600 and this is my first time reformatting this laptop. Currently the video settings are set to VGA (this happened as default after xp install) and in DirectX Diagnostic, the main display driver is vga.dll while showing no devices. I've tried downloading the 9.3 ATI Display driver but it says that it couldn't find any hardware to update, and I think it was with the 9.6 ATI Driver that it said, "Try to setup your display adapter with a standard VGA driver before running setup."

When I go to DisplayProperties>Settings>Advanced>Adapter, there is no adapter information available and when I go into Properties for the Adapter, it shows that the Driver it's using is called VgaSave.

I would appreciate any type of help at this point because it seems that I won't be able to solve this by myself.

I don't think there is a device, only under "Other devices" there was "Video Controller (VGA Compatible). I shouldn't have just gone ahead and uninstalled that without asking first but I did and tried installing the ATI 9.3 driver and it didn't work but oh well, I can reformat again if I need to.

Basically, my computer can't locate or find any video display hardware so it, and can't update it directly with an ATI driver so it just keeps using the VGA driver that came with xp i guess.
